Though, well, as that tool seems to modify some Workstation DLLs, I already was wondering whether this topic was going to be heading that direction.

Hello there, I have a Ryzen 5 1500x and running Windows 10 and Vmware Workstation 15.

Im making this guide for those who dont have access to a Mac and need macOS to either try out for a bit or create a macOS boot loader installer for a AMD hackintosh build.

There is another VMWare Sierra guide on this site, but with AMD system a modified VMWare image is required to even be able to boot macOS so this AMD VMWare guide has to be used instead.

Some will manage to get it working, butt not for others with there being all sorts of errors that can potentially popup on the screen.

I actually spent half a day trying to get High Sierra working on VMWare player and wasnt able to do it, so I had to resort to using Sierra, which I posted the steps for here.

You can still use a Sierra VM to download High Sierra and create a High Sierra boot loader if you are trying to create a hackintosh.

There wont be able acceleration and on AMD machines it runs pretty pretty laggy, which is why its best to make a hackintosh if you want a smooth experience.

Any torrenting program is needed in order to download the VMWare image.

With an actual hackintosh you wont have any the of the performance drawbacks as a Virtual machine such as the lag or lack of video acceleration.

Locate your pen drive in the horizontal list of removable icons.

Right click the icon, and select Connect to Guest OS (disconnect from Host).

You wont be able to connect the pen drive to both Guest and Host OS.

When I try to open the macOS HD.vmdk it says macOS HD.vmdk cannot be opened directly.

Open the virtual machine configuration file (.vmx) instead.

Just download SierraAMDVM and use on Wmware follow Hackintosher instructions.

Alhough most icons are garbled, idk because low graphics memory or compatibility w integrated Radeon GPU.

I tryed to install the vmware tools but he wontt find the CDROM.

I seem to remember having to manually enter 1920x1080x32 at the initial boot screen.

I think. THAT gave me a full screen guest OS.

I suppose this is because the serial number of this machine is already registered or blocked by apple.

Because you cant use you apple ID, things like iMessage wont work.
